"Well, that was the vacuuming and tidying done", thought Lucy as she came down the stairs. Now perhaps Ican get some time to relax and really anjoy my day off. Any thoughts of this were soon dispelled as the door bell rang "Oh bugger", she mumbled to herself as she walked down the final few stairs."Who the bloody hell is that?" her heart lightened when she realized that she was awaiting a package from the couriers. With great expectation, sher opened the door to find.... noone. "Hello?" she called, "anyone there?" her question was answered far too vividly as a maksed man suddenly appeared from nowhere, pointing a gun straight at her.For an instant, Lucy thought it was a joke, but she did not recognise the person behind the mask, and those piercine eyes told her all she needed to know to convince her that this was no joke. He pushed her back into the house and closed the door behind him, all the time keeping his pistol trained on her. "On your knees, bitch" he told her. Overcome by panic, she instantly did as she was told. She peered back at her assailant, praying that he was going to take his mask off and tell her he was sent by someone as a joke. "There are two ways we are going to get out of here", he continued. "My day job has gone a bit wrong. Now my problem, and yours too, is that I have someone coming to pick me up. We are going to stay here, nice and quietly until they do, and you are going to do exactly as you are told. Do you understand me?" Lucy at first did not answer, but at being prompted again, she felt forced to speak. "I'll do anything you want, just please do not hurt me. I will not give you any trouble, I promise" Lucy blurted out. "That is good to hear. Now first thing I need to know is there anyone else in the house?" Lucy shook her head and looked down at the floor. "Very good. Now are you expecting any visitors?" Again Lucy shook her head. "I am going to help you to keep your part of the deal. I want you to put your hands behind your back." She saw him take out a pair of shiny metal handcuffs from his trouser band. "Please don't. You don't need those. I promise I won't...." Lucy began to plead "Shut up and do as you are told" He interrupted. Reluctantly, Lucy put her hands behind her. He went behind her and placed the cuffs around her wirsts. The cold stell made her pull away from them, but he held her wrists firmly. She heard the ratchets of the cuffs clicking and felt the cuffs tighten. Lucy was pushed down onto the floor. She hit the floor hard as her hands tried instinctively to break her fall, but could not move. As she hit the floor, the wind was knocked out of her lungs. Even so, she remained motionless, afraid to make her captor angry. Lucy then felt him taking her bare ankles and pulling them together. She then felt the thin plastic of a plasticuff circle one ankle. As it pulled toght, it made a sound like and angry wasp. Her other ankle was also bound and the cuff pulled tightly. He stepped off and looked at her. "That should keep you quiet for the time being," he told her. "Now don't get any silly ideas like calling for help, or you will not like what happens, OK?" Again lucy nodded that she understood. Instinctively, she tried to move her wrists from behind her, tesating the security of the cuffs. To her dismay, they did not budge. Lucy twisted around, trying to look at her hands, but could only see her bound ankles with her legs bent. "I have to go out to my car and get my kit. You stay here and don't try anything. It just isn't worth the risk", he warned her. As he left, the door was ajar. Lucy managed to right herself into a sitting position with great effort. She did not want to waste the time trying to stand. If she could get to the door, then she had a chance to call out to a neighbour and they could come to her rescue. Slowly, she edged her way over to the door, as quickly as she could to get there before he came back. Lucy was so engrossed in her struggles, she failed to see the figure at the door. "You stupid girl. I warned you and here I come back and find you off on you travels." he said, almost as if disappointed by her actions. "It looks like you aren't going to respond to trust, so we are going to have to try something else." the idea of "something else" struck Lucy cold in her heart. She thought of something to say, to plead for mercy and promise she would not try anything more, but he seemed to read her mind. "Save it Bitch, you are in enough trouble", he warned |
